Stephen Sena
The TCGI Team
Mr. Sena contributes to a variety of economic and community development projects at TCGI. His background and experience includes enterprise development in developing countries, and affordable housing and community development programs in the US. Mr. Sena identifies and acts on opportunities for cooperation between the private and public sectors to improve communities, businesses, and livelihoods.
Internationally, he has provided analysis and constructive feedback on the credit-worthiness of firms for a USAID program in Armenia. His contribution included providing technical assistance in the areas of business planning and commercialization strategies, and co-developing a workshop for managers of SMEs and banks to understand and apply the basics of business planning. In the US, Mr. Sena has brought his working knowledge of HUDs project-Based Voucher program to several TCGI projects. He assisted in securing $8.8 million in financial and in-kind commitments for a HOPE VI revitalization grant application and contributed to successful applications for US government neighborhood recovery stimulus funds. He regularly contributes research, analysis, writing and editing in support of ongoing projects and stand-alone research papers. He also participates in business development activities at TCGI.
Mr. Sena holds a BS from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Brandeis University International Business School.
