Ms. Agnes Pawelkowska is a Development Specialist at TCGI,
currently involved in business development, marketing, research
and events planning under the USAID India's FIRE (D) project.
Agnes has four years of professional experience in international
development and development research. While in TCGI she was
involved in two contracts under the US Agency for International
Development. She participated in the implementation of a contract
with the USAID Office of Development Credit (ODC) and she
worked on the USAID EcoLinks contract addressing environmental
issues in the region of Europe and Eurasia (E&E). She developed
international programs and events in Eastern Europe and United
States to ensure the better transatlantic cooperation between
US exporters and their European counterparts. While completing
her Masters of Arts in International Commerce & Policy at
George Mason University, Agnes worked as a Research Assistant
analyzing Polish Ministry of Finance government documents
on corruption in the coal mining sector of Southern Poland
for a US Department of Justice (DOJ) publication. She also
experienced some of the dynamics of emerging economies having
lived and studied in Poland. At the Gdansk University Graduate
School of Economics in Poland, she worked as a student advisor
for the International Organization of Economic Studies - AISEC
Polska. She was also involved in student exchange programs
activity. Agnes is fluent in Polish and English, and is conversant
in Russian and German. She has a Masters Degree in Economics
from the University of Gdansk, Poland, and a Masters Degree
in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University
in Virginia. She has a greater understanding of, and familiarity
with, the issues relating to Eastern and Central Europe having
studied and lived there, but she is versatile and is knowledgeable
in other subject areas as well as in other geographic regions.
