Stephen Matzie

Stephen is a mid level finance specialist working on a variety of projects for TCG International concerned with finance, local governance, and urban planning. His current consultancy work includes both U.S. and international clients. He has a diverse background in economics and international affairs including research experience at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, DC and consulting for Aid To Artisans, an NGO targeting grassroots business development. Stephen recently completed comprehensive financial and site plans for revitalizing blighted inner city communities in Fayetteville, NC. He also assisted Norfolk, VA and Fayetteville, NC Housing Authorities prepare HOPE VI grant applications worth $20m to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In 2005, Stephen joined TCGI from Oxford University where he received a MA degree in International Development with special attention devoted to economic development and conflict studies. Research areas included the economic growth and strategic planning, technology transfer, macroeconomic stabilization, and post-conflict reconstruction.
